Do you use the prompts? What do you love about them? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. I finally listened! Thank you both so much for your kind words. I did do a poster for my first P365 (2011). Somehow, I did nothing but post my 2012 pics, but I’m about 1/4 done with a 2013 book. My husband, who rarely gets demonstratively excited about my photography commented that he really likes the posters. So, now I want to do a book and poster for each year. I think I just need to run away for a long weekend to catch up. 🙂 Thankfully, I at least have everything documented in my photo descriptions, so it’s mostly a matter of copy/paste. 🙂

For anyone curious, here’s a link to the “poster” on Flickr:

At one point, you had mentioned a member that decided she didn’t need umpteen photos of the same thing … as I was looking at umpteen photo’s of the same pinecone. Oh I could relate.

Thanks ladies, once again another wonderful podcast ! I listened while doing a couple last minute cards and getting ready for a craft sale this weekend ! Made the hour plus fun ! (cause really all I wanna do is pull my hair out)

I am so excited for what Capture has to offer in 2014 !!!! Can’t wait

  3. Tracey Gehring

Great podcast! I think you two had me giggling out loud quite a few times and nodding my head in agreement on so many things as if you could see me, lol. 🙂 Thanks you two!

I do use the prompts 🙂 I love having a jumping off point – I find it a personal challenge to try to see what I can come up with. 🙂 I get the prompt email on my phone and before I even get out of bed I have a look – I also print out the list and have a notebook with a clear folder cover that I put it in. All the past months are in there too, lol (I look at my stash of them as an accomplishment). Some days it seems like it so easy, with a “oh yeah, I know exactly what I’m going to do for that!” and other days…it’s “oh no…what the heck am I going to do for THAT?” LOL But I suppose that happens with a lot of things in everyday life as well 😉

I do try though, to fit the prompt to my life. Maybe not exactly what’s going on that day, but it’s usually relevant to me somehow, not just a random shot of the prompt “item” that in no way reflects “me” or my world around me. Some days it’s a set-up/propped shot, but it’s still something that reflects my life or day.

For me the prompts are half the fun of the project – gives me a goal within the goal of a photo every day 😉
