Is this the same class you taught over at Get It Scrapped? Are you just teaching here now? I took this class at GIS but was too busy at the time to participate, I was hoping to take it again, but it looks like I missed the deadline. Is there an email list I can get on for next time?

Just wondering if you’re considering offering the Holidays through the Lens class this year. My family situation last year made it impossible to even consider, but would love to have the opportunity to do it this year.

I know its probably the most crazy thing to ask but can you film your class and maybe post it on youtube. This is because I live all the way in England and I really want to cross the sea and come join in. But, being only 17 I dont think my mum would be very happy with this idea! hahahaha x
I just stumbled across your site and am very excited to have found it! I am a teacher. I decided that during my summer break I would shoot 100 pictures in 100 days. I am an untrained photographer and I thought this would help me to learn throughout the summer. Little did I know there was this kind of support available. Maybe I will extend the project to 365.
Do you offer any of your courses online?
I might add that this whole photography thing has an added challenge for me because I am legally blind but I don’t let that stop me.

I enrolled in your class last spring for Your Kids: Captured through.. I love your photos and find your lessons easy to follow. However, things got a bit hectic at the time so I still haven’t gone through the class materials but I am planning to do so soon.
How are the other classes in the series different (your kids/life/holidays)? How much of the “technical information” is different?

Your Life takes your through the steps to shoot in Manual Mode by first taking you through Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. Each lesson focuses on one aspect of composition as well.
Your Kids focus on methods to get your kids to cooperate and to get great everyday photos of them in Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority mode. I don’t cover Manual Mode in your kids (although it always comes up in the forum discussions
)
Your Holidays is really unique. It is 14 short lessons delivered over two weeks. Each lesson covers a particular aspect of the holidays and how to photograph it. It is step by step without explanation of they why or how behind it. It is mean as a quick guide to getting great shots of your holiday without taking a lot of your holiday time.

I have a fancy point and shoot camera, but I’m thinking about getting a dslr and improving my photography skills. I’m going on a mission trip to Africa next year and I would love to be able to take good pictures to tell the story back home. Do you have a recommendation for an entry level dslr? There are so many to choose from, I have no idea which would be best.
Suzanne I have a Nikon D3100 that was very affordable and I absolutely love it. It is a wonderful entry level professional camera that I know you will be proud to own.
