Two years! Today. Crazy, huh?
Two years ago I launched this little idea I had. I envisioned a community of people who loved taking photographs of their everyday life. I thought sharing idea lists would be fun. I thought a few people might stop by. I wasn’t really sure what else to expect.
Wow! Can I just say thank you? You exceeded any expectation I had!
You’ve transformed that little idea into a wonderful, supportive community of people stretching their creativity as you document your daily details.
You’ve read daily emails, downloaded idea lists, shared your photos, and taken classes here. So now it is my turn to say thank you. My turn to extend my appreciation for your support.
All month I’ll be giving away prizes! How can you enter? Post a link to a CY365 related favorite photo.

I found your new site the day it launched! I had been following your blog and was so excited about your new site, especially since I was just starting my own CY365 project.
Looks to be a fun month!
So fun!! I found your site through Bossy Joscie’s Facebook group – she started a December Daily group on Facebook with prompts in December of 2011. Lots of us wanted to keep going in January, so she hooked us up with you and the rest is history!
Thanks so much for everything Katrina. You have inspired, taught, and encouraged me for over a year now. I am so lucky to be able to call you a mentor and a friend.
Question: Do we enter a link each week or just enter one now and we are entered?
For whatever reason, I am having a hard time with this. My picture isn’t showing up and I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it. If you click on it it takes you to my picture in the 365 gallery though.
Sorry.
Okay … I think I have it figured out now and actually got a picture to post, so now I have two up there (it won’t let me re-post the first one or change the picture, best I can tell). Hope that’s okay!

Sorry for the double post! If there is a way for me to remove it myself, let me know but I’ve tried like crazy and don’t see a way. And I like them both, so it doesn’t matter to me which stays and which goes!

There’s no doubt that I’m a better photographer because of Capture 365 and your classes! Even on my worst days, the photos are better than they were two years ago. I’m finding this year’s photo-a-day harder than last year, but I’m keeping up with the photos, if not with the daily postings. Thanks, Katrina, you’ve made a big difference for so many of us!
I found your site by googling 365 ideas, because I decided to do a 365 projects last year. Then I took a couple of your classes! I am so glad you started it and get to see what everyone is doing! Congrats on the 2 year mark. Hopefully, there will be many more to come.

I will never forget how I found you. I had entered a contest in a scrapbooking magazine, and won a free pass to Your Holidays Captured Through the Lens. It was such an eye opener for me. I went from full auto to full manual in just two weeks, and I haven’t looked back! In those days, you were hosting your classes with Debbie Hodge. You had your blog, “About a Boy,” and CY365 was still a vision, not yet reality.
I’ve loved watching this community grow, both in size and skills, and I’m proud to be a part of it.

I really do not remember how I linked into your site however I must say that it is usually the first email I open every morning. Your photos inspire me to think creatively, to snap a photo of something daily and to have fun with my most passionate hobby. Thanks Katrina!

Hi Katrina – a friend of mine in New York joined up and told me about the site – it was just what I needed to motivate myself and get shooting again. Some days are harder than others but I am having fun – more than that, I have discovered a creative side I didn’t know I had!
