Anna Aspnes is one of my favorite people and a brilliant designer. She brings a unique and creative edge to all of her work. I’m a huge fan of her templates. I used them for both my 2009 and 2011 365 projects.
Her FotoInspired Layered Templates are a fabulous way to document your 365. I love the flexibility of this template for those weeks when you skip a day or if you want to show off a photo larger than the rest. Some weeks can be fast with seven photos. Flexible and fun!
Anna’s Project 366 Word Art and Days2Month brushes are great additions to your pages.
What a great week this has been! And yes, Anna has generally offered a giveaway to one lucky commenter for her FotoInspired Layered Templates.
For a chance to win leave a comment below describing what your plan is if you skip a day. Hmm. It wouldn’t seem right if I didn’t give you an extra chance! Share this on Facebook or Twitter and leave a comment here telling me you did!
Contest closes on Saturday 2/4 at 10PM Pacific. I’ll announce winners on Sunday morning!

If I miss a day, I just don’t sweat it. That’s the kind of thinking that has gotten me into trouble in the past! LOL! So now, I just laugh it off, carry on and keep preserving those wonderful daily memories!
If I miss a day (which I don’t plan to do) I will just fill it with a photo that I like from anither day.
If I miss a day I fill it with a generic photo from another day.
Because this year, my goal (besides a Project 52), is to make a photo for each of your prompts, if I skip a day, I’ll just double up on another day. Easy peasy!

In the past I’ve used a generic photo from another day. This year I’m hoping to include more ephemera and using that on days I don’t have a photo. Or telling a story without photos – ‘the photo I didn’t take’
I plan to use another picture from the same week. Another idea I had was to have my kids draw a picture of what happened that day.
Love the idea for the illustrations!
My week in review template has a space for 7 photos so if I miss a day I will probably just make another photo larger to take the space from the missing one or do two from the next day. I usually take more photos than just the photo of the day so there are always unused ones. The point for me is to capture life and expand my photos skills so I won’t stress too much if I miss a day. . . but hopefully I won’t
Hopefully I won’t skip a day, but I would just fill in with a POTD reject from another day.
Miss a day?!!! GASP!!! Bite your tongue Woman!!!
If I miss a day I plan on curling up in the fetal position and having myself a good cry!!
(jk … mostly)
Shared on facebook too!
Thanks for the opportunity!!
When I miss a day, I don’t worry about it. I might journal something if something noteworthy happened, but otherwise, I let it go. That’s my mantra for the year….Let It Go! Thanks for this opportunity!
If I miss a day I just use it as an opportunity to expand on another day by using a second photo from that day. And thanks for this opportunity.
I already missed a day.
No I already missed a day twice.
What I did is starting all over… no big deal if you started the project just one month ago or so, but believe me, if you are at day 200 and suddenly you have to start all over…. phoe….it’s a big practice in patience! My 3rd try in project 365 will end in 10 days.
I could prove myself that I could stick to the project 100% without skipping a day, there is no need to repeat that. Next time when I forget it, I will take a picture from another day and that’s totally fine.
Those layered templates look so awesome! Tweeted!
I’m going to try not to obsess about it if I miss a day. I plan on using a photo from another day/time.
I don’t worry about it. Somedays I have several pictures that I like, far more than a “filler” picture. As long as I’m recording an overview of our life, I’m good
.
If I skip a day I don’t panic or quit. I just take an extra pic the next day- either of today’s topic or something nearby. No worries.
I would do a screen shot of msn.com page and it will tell the story itself. I came to realize that taking almost the same pictures everyday is not worth it( sorry, but true for me), we have a very scheduled day and taking pictures of sports in bad light doesn’t sound very exciting. I need a break from the routine.
I don’t like to stress too much over projects like this. I’ll just fill in a photo taken around that time-frame.
I have used a combination of the above techniques in the past two years. (I haven’t yet missed a day this year – yay!) Sometimes I have journaled a little about why I skipped, other times I filled in with an extra photo from another day. Sometimes I just let it go and had few photos that week with the bonus being bigger photos on my layout. I think not obsessing about it has made it easier to stay with it every day.
I tweeted AND emailed my digi friends.
I use a P365 app on my iPhone (3rd year now) and there’s always empty spots on the app’s monthly calendar at the end of a month. I don’t worry about it! I won’t let this project control me.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I started P365 in March of 2011. If I missed a day, I just filled in with another photo or a screenshot of something that represented the day. Last summer I went through a really rough period where I missed a lot of photos for a couple of months, and there I didn’t try to fill in…I just let it be. So far, no missing photos for 2012!
I’m not the legalistic type. If I skip a day I have no problem using a photo from the day when I took to many. Just see it as an opportunity for adding the awesome photos from a previous day.
If I miss a day, I don’t mind using a picture from another day or using artwork or journaling in its place.
I plan on not using a picture or using a generic pic
I try not to miss a day but if i do, as i’m using a theme list,i try to find a photo that meets the criteria that is less than a couple of weeks old.
This week was harder, but I managed at least one photo every day. But if I missed a day, I’d make up for it tomorrow or look for a recent one that would fit for the day.
366 photos representing my year. No pressure on the date of the photo.
That’s an easy one – I just don’t skip! I sorta cheat, though, because I post an image everyday, but it wasn’t necessarily taken on that day. I’ll post multiple photos from the same day if it was a special event or I got several good ones on the same day.
I will select another fav from the week.
I don’t intend to beat myself up over this.
I love Anna’s templates and well really, all of her stuff.
so thanks for the opp to win something of hers.
Depends on what the next day is like. If it’s routine, I will probably just skip. If it is exciting or has something “big” happening, I will make it up. I know – not a real answer lol!
If I miss a day, I just fill it in with another everyday type photo that I want to share, but never did. Since most of my pictures are of the everyday, normal I’m not going to remember that picture was actually taken two days before. Thanks for the chance to win
I have been known to check my husband’s phone for photos he might have taken on the day I missed. It makes it a family project.
Oh, I would love to win these templates. This is my third year of doing Project 365 but the first one I am trying to make a scrapbook of the photos. In the past, I only blogged. These would come in handy. Great site!!!
Oh if I miss a day I will put another photo in, some days I seem to have plenty of photos. Or I would also put in a funny kid’s quote, we have plenty of those too.
Never would I miss a day…but if I did, a photo of something I do everyday could be placed in that spot to capture the day i missed.:)
If I were to miss a day I would make up for it the next day or use an older photo.
wohoo! so cool giveaway! If I miss a day, I just make a new one but write both about previous day and the current
If I miss a day, I use some pretty paper or quote/word art or journaling that may pertain to that day.
I missed a couple of days in January . . . not sweating it at all; just filled in with some digital paper and made a not of what I did on that day. . . this is suppose to be a fun learning experience getting me more comfortable with my first DSLR . . . and it’s working! Thanks, Katrina!
I don’t think I have a week with 7 photos yet! I’m determined to not give up and I am thankful for the photos I have taken so that is keeping me motivated with my P366 this year. Anna’s templates would be a wonderful way to showcase the photos that I have taken.
I just found your site thru Ali Edward’s newsletter today on 52 Creative…. I love what I’m seeing and thought it will be an added inspiration to my Project Life which I started embarking this year. I love taking pictures of everyday which sometimes maybe boring since my life is mostly routinary. If I get stuck ever, and not because I forgot but because my mojo is not there at all, I play with my Ipad and take a screen shot of whatever catches my eye on the web or play with my photo album and find something to filter on instagram and other apps and write inspiring words then voila! A new photo of the day!
I don’t stress about missing a day. Some days I find lots of things to take pictures of, so I just fill in with a one that is not date specific.
Have not even considered starting this project…although an interesting concept…I find my life goes by major events, where there is LOTS to scrap on one day and nothing much the rest… Winning this set of templates, might spur me to try the daily thing??? Could be fun…
I have already missed a day! I decided not to let it bother me. It is more important to get the memories documented. Thanks for the chance to win.
When I miss a day, I take a shot of something the next morning that was the same the day before…like something the kids are playing with or a project I was working on.
Sometimes I even do this on purpose if it’s late in the day and the light is bad, I just wait until the next day.
I have decided to take a more weekly approach and not to punish myself if I miss a day. It’s not unusual for me to take more photos on some days because I have more time. For me it’s the process that’s important, not the # of photos.
