I feel like the best part of taking a photo every day is the focus on the little details that make up our days. And my biggest motivator is future investment – today they may seem boring and insignificant, but these simple everyday photos will only go up in value!

I love that it freezes time. It feels like I have so little time left with my kids still at home that the next year or next five years will bring so many changes that I want to remember the everyday, the things I take for granted now but will miss when my nest is empty.
I’ve enjoyed putting into practice what I have read about photography – this project is my “learning by doing project”… and I’m loving it.

My favorite part of taking photos for the past 31 days is really seeing and recording the “little things”–the individual tiles that make the beautiful mosaic of my family’s life!
I am another who found that my favorite part of this journey has been the attention to the small everyday details in life. It has been an enriching experience.
My favorite part of taking photos the last 31 days has actually been the days without my favorite lens – my 18-270mm. I’ve been forced to get more creative using my 50mm. The biggest challenge of that? No wide angle like on the zoom.

I like the idea of being able to look back years from now and remember the small details we would otherwise forget.

I love these designs so much!
My favorite part has been flipping through the daily photos and just being able to remember that specific day or moment. I am also using a 365 app on my phone to save all of the photos and at the end of the month January had “completed” underneath it. It was a nice sense of accomplishment!

My favorite part about the picture a day has been the prompts which have gotten me to think outside the box AND gotten me to FINALLY take my camera off AUTO!!

Selfishly, my favorite part of taking pictures for the last 31 days is that it’s at least one moment just for me. Even if it’s a photo of my children, that’s still my moment when I press the shutter. The have-to’s and must-do’s fall away, and I have a moment to stop, breathe and see what’s around me.

The best thing about the last 31 days of photos is that I have started this year with a purpose. And I have some great photos I might not have otherwise had I not been encouraged by your passion for photography.
My fav part of capturing 365 images is getting the details…the little things in life that i will want to remember…fav foods, silly routines, etc. I love getting all of that in my images. My kids will thank me someday.

what a beautiful set! my favourite part of taking daily photos this last month has been going back & remembering moments that would otherwise have been forgotten. This is my 4th year of 365 and my kids love to go back & look through the books & see how they’ve changed & what they were like at each stage.

I just love collecting all of these photos. Now to download…I got an iPhone 4S in November, and I’m taking most of my 365 photos using the 8 megapixel camera. It’s been fun taking so many photos and then seeing what I can do with them using apps.
My favorite part is accidentally happening upon that perfect “Kodak moment” and being able to capture it and then share it.
I like capturing all of the little things and also the ‘once in a lifetime’ moments.
Still havent been able to pull this off, but hoping to find a month I can manage it.

It makes me more aware of the everyday details of our lives.
I love that in one picture each day I freeze time. In my pictures my kids will always be that age. Since I can’t make them stop growing, I figure this is the closest thing to it.
My favourite part of photo taking right now is finding something new and different. Since I started 365+1 I look around me with a different eye.

My favorite part is the layout I just finished for January. There it is, my month laid out before me. The squares on the calendar distort some of the composition, but I love the overview it gives me of my month.
I really love seeing how different each day is. So much diversity in our lives.
I find I’m looking for thr ordinary everyday rather than the special events.
